The earliest minute book in the Lodge's possession dates from 1757 and contains the Rules and Orders for the Lodge written and illustrated by Laurence Dermott the Grand Secretary of the Antient or Atholl Masons.
The Master for 1757 was Bro Henry  Wallworth. Until the Union, Installations were held on St John's Day in June and December each year so in some years there may have been two different Masters in the same year.
